Job summary

Oscar Technology is looking for an AI Product Engineer in Birmingham. You will build AI-driven features, from concept to production, interfacing with Product Managers, Designers and Engineers to ship customer-facing AI experiences.

You will work across frontend and backend technologies, prototype AI experiences, and integrate models from OpenAI and Anthropic using cloud platforms. The role offers hybrid work, autonomy, and strong learning opportunities in AI SaaS.

Qualifications

• Commercial software engineering experience building modern web applications.
• Hands-on experience with Generative AI or LLM integrations.
• Strong product mindset with the ability to think about customer experience.
• Comfortable working across frontend and backend technologies.
• Someone who enjoys experimenting, iterating and shipping quickly.

Responsibilities

• Build end-to-end AI product features used by real customers.
• Collaborate with Product and Design teams to prototype and validate AI experiences.
• Integrate LLMs, AI agents and intelligent workflows into SaaS products.
• Develop backend services and frontend experiences supporting AI functionality.
• Experiment with prompts, evaluation frameworks and AI performance optimisation.
• Own features throughout the full product lifecycle from concept to release.
