Job summary

Oscar Technology is seeking an Applied AI Engineer (C# .NET) in Nottingham with hybrid work options (2 days in office). You will design and productionise AI-powered features within a .NET platform, integrating LLMs and AI into customer products.

The role focuses on building scalable backend services, API development, and close collaboration with product and data teams to deliver valuable AI solutions across UK and international customers.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience building backend apps in C#/.NET.
• Experience integrating AI or LLMs into production software.
• Knowledge of RAG, embeddings and vector search is a plus.
• Experience with Azure cloud services and scalable architectures.

Responsibilities

Applied AI Engineer (C# .NET) - Nottingham - Hybrid (2 days a week in office) - £80,000

We're working with an ambitious technology company developing intelligent software products used by thousands of customers across the UK and internationally. They're investing heavily in AI and are looking for an Applied AI Engineer to help design, build and productionise AI-powered features within their existing .NET platform. This isn't a research role. You'll be taking cutting-edge AI capabilities and turning them into reliable, scalable software that delivers real commercial value.

What you'll be doing

• Design and develop AI-powered features within a modern C#/.NET application stack.
• Integrate Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI into customer-facing products.
• Build RAG pipelines using vector databases and semantic search.
