Job summary
North Yorkshire Police & North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service is seeking an Application Support Engineer on a fixed-term 12-month contract. The role focuses on maintaining and improving critical applications across police, fire and related services, with hybrid working from the Northallerton headquarters.

Qualifications
- Experience of supporting enterprise applications within a medium to large organisation.
- Experience of implementing, configuring and supporting application solutions throughout their lifecycle.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of SQL for troubleshooting and resolving issues.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Responsibilities
- Support the development and delivery of the applications strategy and roadmap.
- Design, implement, configure and maintain secure, robust and highly available application solutions.
- Translate business requirements into effective technical solutions with stakeholders.
- Diagnose and resolve incidents, improving service performance and reliability.
- Produce and maintain high-quality technical documentation and act as SME for supported applications.
