Qualifications

• Strong fundamental mechanical engineering understanding.
• Ability to read technical drawings and translate ideas into manufacture.
• Understand basic electrical systems and safe component swaps.
• Willingness to disassemble and reassemble machines with minimal guidance.
• Capable of solving design problems with practical manufacture in mind.

Responsibilities

• Design tooling/work holding for coil winding bobbins using CAD drawings.
• Prototype tooling/work holding with shop machinery: lathe, mill, grinders.
• Use CAD data for in-house 3D printing of temporary tooling.
• Run trials, evaluate materials, and adjust tooling and machine setups.
• Perform basic electrical swaps as part of machine modifications.
• Assess components and choose appropriate tooling approaches.
• Test materials and samples, and support customer needs on site.
