Job summary

MacDermid Alpha Electronics Solutions, a business segment of Element Solutions Inc, seeks an Applications Engineer for Film & Smart Surface Solutions. You will develop applications knowhow, perform material testing and prototyping, and provide global technical support for product evaluation and testing.

You will participate in IME, FIM modeling, and Display testing, collaborating with R&D and Product Management to drive new products and customer success. DBS check may apply.

Qualifications

• Experience with ANSYS Polyflow or similar polymer processing software.
• Knowledge of FEM modelling and analysis is required.
• Experience in materials testing, product characterisation and reliability testing.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes such as injection moulding or FIM.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; good communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop methods and test vehicles for product evaluation and prototyping.
• Provide applications and technical support to global customers for Film & Smart Surface Solutions.
• Assist in IME, FIM Modeling and Display product testing activities.
• Collaborate with Product Management and R&D to support launches and approvals.
• Publish technical papers and present findings as needed.
