Job summary
MacDermid Alpha Electronics Solutions, part of Element Solutions Inc., is seeking an Applications Engineer to develop applications knowhow, test methods and prototypes for Film & Smart Surface Solutions. You will support global customers across IME, FIM modeling and display products, performing material testing and prototyping.
You will collaborate with Product Management and R&D to plan projects, conduct reliability testing, and publish results. DBS check will be required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Science (preferably Physics) or Engineering with 1–2 years manufacturing experience.
- Master's or PhD with at least 1 year of industrial R&D experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop and validate new test methods and technologies (FEM/FEA) to characterize products for customers.
- Plan and perform internal tests for mechanical, thermal and electrical reliability.
- Demonstrate material performance to customers via testing and failure analyses.
- Collaborate with product management and R&D to support launches and approvals.
- Work across functions to scale up and test new products.
