Job summary

Bassetlaw District Council is seeking an enthusiastic Applications and Digital Development Officer to support, develop and maintain the Council's business applications and digital services. You will work across the organisation to improve systems, streamline processes and introduce new technologies that enable excellent public services.

Responsibilities include administering key business applications, analysing requirements, implementing enhancements and collaborating with suppliers.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting or administering business applications or ICT systems.
  • Confident using Microsoft 365 technologies.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Able to manage competing priorities and work independently and collaboratively.
  • Keen to learn, develop and embrace new technology.

Salary Grade 4 - £29,542.00 - £32,046.00 per annum (pro rata)

Part Time, 3 days per week (7.24 hours per day)

We're looking for an enthusiastic, curious and proactive Applications and Digital Development Officer to join our growing ICT team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys solving problems, improving systems and making a real difference through technology.

About the Role

As an Applications and Digital Development Officer, you'll support, develop and maintain the Council's business applications and digital services. You'll work closely with colleagues across the organisation, helping to improve systems, streamline processes and introduce new technologies that support excellent public services.

Your work will include:

No two days are the same. You'll have the opportunity to learn new technologies, contribute to digital transformation projects and help shape the future of ICT services within the Council.

About You

We're looking for someone who:

  • Enjoys solving problems and finding practical solutions
  • Has experience supporting or administering business applications or ICT systems
  • Is confident using Microsoft 365 technologies
  • Has excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Can manage competing priorities and work both independently and collaboratively
  • Is keen to learn, develop and embrace new technology

Relevant ICT qualifications are welcomed, but we also value equivalent practical experience and a willingness to continue developing your skills.
