Job summary

Genomics England is seeking an Application Support Manager to act as SME for essential applications and to support the organisation in meeting its objectives. You will manage tickets and serve as escalation point for EUC and internal integrations, ensuring high standards of service across teams.

Daily duties include guiding users, configuring applications, resolving issues, and delivering improvement projects with cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Proven problem-solving abilities with a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Intune, Microsoft 365, Exchange and AD environments.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate confidently.
• Demonstrated initiative, creativity and willingness to contribute.
• Knowledge of Azure and cloud-based environments.
• Experience with IAM processes and Conditional Access.

Responsibilities

• Provide clear guidance and supportive assistance to internal and external users.
• Support application configuration, upgrades and troubleshooting.
• Deliver improvement projects with cross-team collaboration.
• Create and maintain training materials for self and others.
• Ensure documentation aligns with ISO and NCSC best practices.
• Identify opportunities for efficiency, including automation.
