Job summary

Jobtailor in Sheffield is seeking a hands-on software professional to support and enhance in-house systems used for warehousing and transport. You will work with a capable team of support analysts, developers and QA specialists to fix defects, improve data-handling processes, and escalate to the development team as needed.

You will apply C#.NET/ASP.NET and T-SQL skills, have exposure to front-end JS (jQuery/Knockout/TypeScript) and participate in SCRUM practices in an agile environment.

Qualifications

• A real problem-solver at heart.
• Strong experience with C#.NET, ASP.NET and relational databases.
• Solid experience with Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL.
• Experience with data-handling and transactional systems.
• Nice-to-have exposure to front-end JS frameworks and TypeScript.
• Agile frameworks (SCRUM) and source control.

Responsibilities

• Support and improve in-house software, fixing defects and escalating when needed.
• Attend daily stand-ups and work in an agile environment.
• Collaborate with analysts, developers and QA to enhance systems.
• Provide hands-on development and support across multiple sites.
• Drive down known bugs and defects across our solutions.
• Communicate progress and blockers clearly to the team.
