Job Title: Application Support Engineer

Total Experience Required: 3+ Information Technology/Computers/Software

Work Location: Manchester, UK

  • Must be currently based in Manchester, UK, or
  • Willing to relocate to Manchester, UK from anywhere within Europe or UK

Join a fast-growing energy company at the forefront of digital transformation. We're seeking a skilled Application Support Analyst to join our Sales IT team on a fulltime basis. You'll deliver 3rd line support across business-critical applications, drive incident resolution, and contribute to continuous improvement within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 3rd line application support, including incident triage, root cause analysis, and resolution
  • Collaborate with internal teams and third-party vendors to meet SLA targets
  • Proactively monitor and maintain application systems, updates, and patching
  • Support technical design reviews and environment deployments for internal projects
  • Maintain clear and up-to-date support documentation
  • Strong experience with Windows Server, IIS, and Active Directory
  • Solid understanding of T-SQL or PL/SQL
  • Familiarity with scripting (.NET, PowerShell)
  • Proficient in using ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, SCSM)
  • Excellent communication and analytical problem-solving skills

Top 5 Optional Skills

  • Microsoft Dynamics (2012AX or D365)
  • Office365 administration
  • Experience with Octopus Deploy or similar deployment tools
  • Knowledge of ITIL practices and certification
