Overview

We are seeking an Application Support Engineer to join a leading software company based in Crowborough. The successful candidate will be part of a team of 25, supporting a bespoke and evolving software package. This role requires a candidate with 2nd Line Support experience and a quick learning ability to understand our software.

Responsibilities

• Handle client inquiries and resolve technical issues via phone and email.
• Provide hands-on application support and quickly adapt to new systems as the software is regularly updated.
• Communicate effectively with clients to ensure smooth operation of systems.
• Log, troubleshoot, and resolve IT issues.
• Document software systems, procedures, and processes according to standards.
• Coordinate with external software/hardware suppliers and specialist teams.
• Perform system administration tasks.

Requirements

• Experience in a similar support role or as a 2nd Line Support Technician.
• Full UK Driving License.
• Experience with software support; SQL experience is a plus.
• Passion for learning new skills and teamwork.
• Friendly, professional demeanor.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Remuneration

• Monday to Friday, 9am – 5:30pm.
• Salary: £22,000 – £28,000 DOE.
• 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
