Job Description:

The Apps Support Analyst is a developing professional role. It involves independently resolving most problems and applying industry standards and practices. The role requires understanding of how the team integrates with others and applying analytical thinking with data analysis tools. Attention to detail and professional judgment are essential, as is effective communication and diplomacy when handling complex or sensitive information. The role impacts the business directly through the quality and timeliness of support provided.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical and business support for Citi applications.
  • Utilize support procedures and technical knowledge to address issues, providing short-term solutions and coordinating with technology partners for long-term fixes.
  • Understand how support areas integrate to meet business goals.
  • Act as liaison between users/traders, internal tech teams, and vendors.
  • Participate in disaster recovery testing and application releases, including development, testing, deployment, and post-release checks.
  • Maintain technical support documentation and analyze applications for risks, vulnerabilities, and security issues.
  • Collaborate with development teams to prioritize bug fixes and support tooling needs.
  • Impact the business by ensuring quality support and sharing information effectively.
  • Take ownership of support projects related to stability, efficiency, and effectiveness.
  • Work independently with limited supervision, exercising judgment and autonomy.
  • Serve as SME for senior stakeholders and other team members.
  • Assess risks in business decisions, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and policies, and escalating control issues as needed.
Qualifications:
  • 2-5 years of experience.
  • Interest or basic knowledge of application support procedures and technical areas.
  • Experience or interest in process improvements and standardization.
  • Basic understanding of financial markets and products.
  • Knowledge of problem management tools.
  • Understanding of how sub-functions integrate within the broader function and market awareness.
  • Strong communication, diplomacy, and interpersonal skills.
  • Customer service orientation and team collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of issue tracking tools and ability to organize workload.
  • Understanding of Equity business, Fix protocol, EMS, and OMS workflows, with interest in trading.

This role supports the equities trade floor, with working hours from 7 am to 5 pm across shifts.
