Job summary

Cumberland Farms UK (EG Group) is seeking a Process Improvement Specialist to join our Transactional Finance team in Horwich. You will analyse Accounts Payable workflows, drive efficiency, and implement SAP-driven solutions to reduce manual tasks while maintaining strong financial controls.

Working closely with Finance, IT and Master Data, you will lead improvement projects from analysis through to go-live, with hybrid working up to 2 days per week and a DBS check funded by EG Group.

Qualifications

• Experience in process improvement or finance transformation.
• Knowledge of SAP to streamline finance processes.
• Ability to analyse processes and data to identify inefficiencies.
• Experience with project delivery including testing and system changes.
• Ability to create clear process maps and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Analyse Accounts Payable processes and performance data to identify inefficiencies, risks and opportunities to improve accuracy and productivity.
• Lead and support process improvement projects from initial investigation through to implementation, managing actions, risks, dependencies and deadlines.
• Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and make better use of SAP and other systems to streamline workflows.
• Support system enhancements, including developing test scripts and assisting with User Acceptance Testing (UAT), system upgrades and go-live activities.
• Work collaboratively with Finance, IT, Master Data and wider stakeholders to implement improvements and standardise processes across teams.
• Create and maintain process maps, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and supporting documentation to promote consistent ways of working.
• Develop reports, dashboards and analysis to monitor performance, measure improvements and demonstrate the benefits delivered.
• Investigate recurring issues through root-cause analysis, implementing sustainable solutions while maintaining financial controls, governance and compliance.
