Job summary

Liberty Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable professional to join the Finance team in Gosport. The role focuses on day-to-day AP processing, coding, and supplier relations, with involvement in projects and system improvements.

The ideal candidate will have AAT qualification or equivalent experience, strong end-to-end AP skills, and proficiency with ERP systems such as Dynamics BC and Excel. Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities are essential.

Qualifications

• AAT qualified/part-qualified or extensive experience in Accounts Payable.
• Strong end-to-end AP experience.
• Experience with ERP systems (Dynamics BC).
• Excellent Excel skills for analysis and reconciliation.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy; able to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day Accounts Payable function, ensuring invoices are processed accurately and efficiently.
• Ensure expenditure is correctly coded and allocated across the business.
• Prepare weekly and monthly supplier payment runs and issue remittance advice.
• Manage supplier queries and maintain positive relationships with external suppliers.
• Process employee expenses and company credit card transactions.
• Complete daily bank postings and reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
• Prepare and post journals including accruals and prepayments.
• Support month-end and year-end reporting activities.
• Review aged creditor balances and resolve outstanding items.
• Provide supporting documentation for audits and system improvements.
