Job summary

Right Now Group in the Heathrow area is seeking an experienced AOG Operator to join an award-winning international freight forwarder. This role focuses on quick turnaround and meticulous handling of urgent shipments from collection through to final delivery, keeping customers updated at every step.

You will manage AOG/time-critical movements, coordinate airline bookings, liaise with airlines and suppliers, and maintain precise records.

Qualifications

• Experience in air freight operations, preferably AOG or time-critical.
• Strong understanding of air export procedures and freight forwarding.
• Calm under pressure and decisive in urgent situations.
• Excellent communication with customers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage AOG and time-critical shipments from start to finish.
• Coordinate urgent collections, airline bookings and final deliveries.
• Liaise with airlines, transport providers, overseas agents and customers.
• Monitor shipments proactively and respond quickly to issues to meet SLAs.
• Provide customers with regular updates and ensure service levels are achieved.
• Complete export documentation and customs paperwork where applicable.
• Work closely with internal departments to ensure smooth movement of urgent freight.
• Maintain accurate records and update internal systems.

Right Now Group is recruiting an experienced AOG Operator to join an award-winning international freight forwarding business based in the Heathrow area.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with previous AOG or time‑critical freight experience who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and understands the importance of delivering exceptional customer service around the clock. The role plays a key part in ensuring urgent shipments are managed efficiently from collection through to final delivery, providing customers with regular updates and solutions when every minute counts.

• Location: West Drayton / Heathrow area
• Hours: Monday – Friday 4 on 4 off days
• Salary: £35,000‑£40,000

Key Duties

• Managing AOG and time‑critical shipments from start to finish
• Coordinating urgent collections, airline bookings and final deliveries
• Liaising with airlines, transport providers, overseas agents and customers
• Monitoring shipments proactively and responding quickly to any operational issues
• Providing customers with regular shipment updates and ensuring service level agreements are achieved
• Completing all required export documentation and customs paperwork where applicable
• Working closely with internal departments to ensure the smooth movement of urgent freight
• Maintaining accurate records and updating internal systems

Required Experience and Skills

• Previous experience within Air Freight Operations, ideally AOG or Time Critical
• Excellent understanding of air export procedures and freight forwarding operations
• Ability to remain calm and make decisions under pressure
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
