Job summary

Right Now Group are currently recruiting for an experienced AOG Operator to join an award-winning international freight forwarding business based in the Heathrow area. This role suits someone with AOG or time-critical freight experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and understands delivering exceptional customer service around the clock.

You will manage urgent shipments from collection through to final delivery, provide customers with regular updates, and coordinate airline bookings

Qualifications

• Experience in Air Freight Operations, preferably AOG or time-critical shipments.
• Strong understanding of air export procedures and freight forwarding.
• Calm under pressure with strong communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage AOG/time-critical shipments from start to finish.
• Coordinate urgent collections, airline bookings and final deliveries.
• Liaise with airlines, transport providers, overseas agents and customers.
• Monitor shipments proactively and respond quickly to issues.
• Provide customers with regular shipment updates and SLA adherence.
• Complete export documentation and customs paperwork where applicable.
• Collaborate with internal teams to move urgent freight smoothly.
• Maintain accurate records and update internal systems.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with previous AOG or time‑critical freight experience who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and understands the importance of delivering exceptional customer service around the clock. You will play a key role in ensuring urgent shipments are managed efficiently from collection through to final delivery, providing customers with regular updates and solutions when every minute counts.

Location: Heathrow
Hours: Monday - Friday 4 on 4 off DAYS
Salary: £35,000-£40,000
Location: West Drayton

Key Duties

• Managing AOG and time‑critical shipments from start to finish.
• Coordinating urgent collections, airline bookings and final deliveries.
• Liaising with airlines, transport providers, overseas agents and customers.
• Monitoring shipments proactively and responding quickly to any operational issues.
• Providing customers with regular shipment updates and ensuring service level agreements are achieved.
• Completing all required export documentation and customs paperwork where applicable.
• Working closely with internal departments to ensure the smooth movement of urgent freight.
• Maintaining accurate records and updating internal systems.

Previous Experience

• Previous experience within Air Freight Operations, ideally AOG or Time Critical.
• Excellent understanding of air export procedures and freight forwarding operations.
• Ability to remain calm and make decisions under pressure.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
