Job summary

Current is seeking an experienced Android Engineering Manager to lead a growing team in the fintech space. You will own planning, delivery, and architectural direction for mobile products while mentoring engineers and collaborating with product and design teams.

You have 5+ years of native Android experience and 2+ years in management, with a strong focus on scalable architecture, Compose adoption, and end-to-end mobile delivery. Equity and a flexible vacation policy are part of the package.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of management experience.
• Background in native Android development.
• 5+ years building native Android applications.
• 2+ years in an engineering management role.
• Strong organizational and planning abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Experience adopting Compose and modular codebases.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and mobile deployment.
• Fintech or startup experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of key initiatives and improve architecture and services.
• Own team planning, execution, and delivery of features and platform improvements.
• Provide technical and people leadership to the Android team.
• Define roadmaps, priorities, and long-term platform investments.
• Maintain standards for quality, testing, performance and security.
• Collaborate with product, design, QA and backend teams to scope and deliver features.
• Mentor team members, run regular one-on-ones and drive a culture of excellence.
