Andras Hotels is seeking an IT Technical Officer to join our Belfast team. You will assist the IT Manager in delivering IT support across ten hotels and related business units, handling network management, devices, and security with a focus on service quality and brand standards.

- Experience with Windows Server, AD, and VPN.
- Experience maintaining network/workstation hardware and WIFI.
Responsibilities
- Assist hotels and business units with technology matters.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, or network problems; replace defective components.
- Plan and implement network security measures with IT Manager.
- Install and maintain hardware, cabling, and devices.
- Troubleshoot connectivity for property systems.
- Maintain policies and procedures; chase targets for resolutions.
- Review requests for new hardware and software with IT Manager.
- Configure email apps and virus protection; maintain records.
- Support guest wifi, franchise network, guest TV, and POS where applicable.
- Support security cameras, cloud services, AV systems; attend training.

What is the Job?
Reporting to the IT Manager this position will be assisting the IT Manager in providing support to business units in all matters relating to information technology and operational systems, including but not limited to: network management, technical support, systems integration, audio/visual systems and any other relevant activities including following Brand Standards. We will provide training and development opportunities to enable you to fulfil this role.

Your day to day
Assists all hotels and business units in all technology matters
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, or other network and system problems, and replace defective components when necessary. This includes, but not limited to, network equipment, computers, printers, phones, and key control devices.
Assist the IT Manager in planning, coordinating, and implementing network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware
Installing and maintaining hardware and components, including cabling
Troubleshoots network connectivity for property systems
Ensures that all policies and procedures in the operation are followed in accordance with the set procedures
Plans and sets targets for problem resolutions.
Searches for areas for improvement in existing systems and procedures with new software and hardware.
Reviews requests for new hardware and software with the IT Manager
Configure, monitor, and maintain email applications and virus protection software
Maintain records related to network functions, as well as maintenance repair records
Support hotel properties with guest wi-fi, franchise network support, guest TV support, and Point of Sale support if applicable (POS & PMS)
Assist the IT manager in supporting security camera systems, cloud services, audio/visual systems
Always keep work environment clean
Attends training courses to consistently update/maintain technical competency for the systems used in the business
Ensures confidentiality in all matters related to the work activity

- Demonstrates a passion for technology and a willingness to learn new skills

- Degree in IT and/or Certification in Level 6 NVQ in IT
- Experience in Microsoft Intune/Azure administration

- Experience in handling and configuration of routers and switches
- Experience in VM ware / Hyper V systems
