Job summary

Wise in London is seeking an Analytics Engineering Director to lead the Analytics Engineering team within the Servicing tribe. You will shape data strategy and ensure scalable access to trusted data for product and risk teams.

You will drive people leadership, data architecture, and tooling adoption (including AI-enabled data assets) while partnering with Engineering, Product, and Analytics leads across the tribe. This role offers flexible working and RSUs.

Qualifications

• Proven project leadership with 2+ year time horizon.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and problem-solving.
• Excellent storytelling with data to translate insights into actions.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Experience building robust analytics pipelines and data models.
• Ability to roadmap BI tooling like LightDash and dbt; implement multiple tools.

Responsibilities

• Scale an existing team to 20+ within 12 months while maintaining high performance.
• Define and implement analytics data strategy in collaboration with Engineering, Product & Analytics leads.
• Ensure trustable, discoverable core datasets and effective data source alignment.
• Champion tooling adoption (AI-enabled assets) and lead rollout across the organization.
• Drive data modelling best practices and cost-effective data architecture.
