Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is hiring an HR Advisor to support our Avonmouth operation. You will provide practical HR guidance to managers across employee relations, recruitment and lifecycle activities, while building strong stakeholder relationships with trade unions and colleagues.

The role offers exposure to investigations, absence management and change initiatives in a fast-paced logistics environment. The position is full time on a 12 month fixed term contract, with typical hours 09:00–17:00

Qualifications

• Previous HR Advisor experience with employee relations caseload.
• Strong communication and influencing skills to support managers.
• CIPD qualification or studying towards CIPD, or equivalent HR experience.

Responsibilities

• Advise managers on employee relations matters, including absence, disciplinary and grievance cases.
• Build strong relationships with colleagues, managers and trade union representatives.
• Support recruitment, onboarding and employee lifecycle activities.
• Monitor investigations, probation reviews and absence trends to ensure a consistent approach.
• Help drive colleague engagement initiatives and support HR projects across the site.

Are you an experienced HR Advisor looking to make an impact in a fast-paced operation? Can you build strong relationships and confidently support managers through employee relations matters? Do you enjoy coaching managers and helping create a positive colleague experience?

Join GXO as an HR Advisor and become a key member of the HR team supporting our Amazon operation in Avonmouth. Working closely with managers, colleagues and trade union representatives, you'll provide practical HR support across a wide range of employee relations matters while helping to create a positive and engaging workplace. This is a varied role offering exposure to recruitment, absence management, investigations, performance management, employee engagement and change initiatives, making it an excellent opportunity to further develop your HR career within a fast-paced logistics environment.

This is a full time, 12 month fixed term contract working Monday to Friday 09:00 to 17:00

• CIPD qualified, studying towards CIPD, or equivalent HR experience
• A proactive, organised approach with the ability to work independently and solve problems effectively
