Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking an experienced HR Advisor to support our Avonmouth operation on a full-time, 12-month fixed-term contract. You will advise managers on employee relations, support recruitment and onboarding, and help drive engagement across the site.

You will collaborate with managers, colleagues and trade union representatives to ensure consistent HR practices and a positive colleague experience in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and influencing skills to support managers.

Are you an experienced HR Advisor looking to make an impact in a fast-paced operation? Can you build strong relationships and confidently support managers through employee relations matters? Do you enjoy coaching managers and helping create a positive colleague experience?

Join GXO as an HR Advisor and become a key member of the HR team supporting our Amazon operation in Avonmouth. Working closely with managers, colleagues and trade union representatives, you'll provide practical HR support across a wide range of employee relations matters while helping to create a positive and engaging workplace. This is a varied role offering exposure to recruitment, absence management, investigations, performance management, employee engagement and change initiatives, making it an excellent opportunity to further develop your HR career within a fast-paced logistics environment.

This is a full time, 12 month fixed term contract working Monday to Friday 09:00 to 17:00

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Advise managers on employee relations matters, including absence, disciplinary and grievance cases
• Build strong relationships with colleagues, managers and trade union representatives
• Support recruitment, onboarding and employee lifecycle activities
• Monitor investigations, probation reviews and absence trends to ensure a consistent approach
• Help drive colleague engagement initiatives and support HR projects across the site

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• Previous HR Advisor experience , including managing employee relations cases
• Strong communication and influencing skills , with the confidence to support managers at all levels
• CIPD qualified, studying towards CIPD, or equivalent HR experience
• A proactive, organised approach with the ability to work independently and solve problems effectively
