Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking an HR Advisor to partner with operational leaders at our Northampton site, delivering proactive HR support across warehouse and transport operations. The role focuses on engagement, culture, and performance, with a hands-on presence on the floor.

The position is full-time, 37.5 hours, on-site Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:00, offering a salary up to £35,000 plus a pension, life assurance, and access to a benefits platform.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a generalist HR role with strong employee relations exposure in a fast-moving environment.
• Solid knowledge of UK Employment Law and HR best practice, including trade unions.
• Confident communicator with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ideally CIPD level 5 qualified (or working towards CIPD qualification).

Responsibilities

• Providing expert HR advice to managers on employee relations, performance, and people management.
• Managing end-to-end absence, disciplinary, grievance, and long-term sickness cases.
• Walking the floor to build relationships and ensure a visible, approachable HR presence.
• Supporting teams in proactively identifying and developing employee engagement.
• Analyzing HR data and supporting the delivery of the site people plan and broader HR strategy.

Job description

Join us as our HR Advisor and you’ll be a key partner to operational leaders across our Northampton site (Pineham), delivering a proactive and hands-on HR Service across warehouse and transport operations. You’ll play a pivotal role in driving engagement, shaping culture, and supporting both people and performance.

This is a full-time, permanent position with 37.5 hours per week contracted. Based on-site Monday to Friday, 09:00 till 17:00.
