Job summary

PSD Scotland is seeking a Training Programme Director to lead national training programmes for the Scotland Deanery and contribute to postgraduate education across NHS Scotland.

The role requires a trained doctor in Scotland with a substantive NHS consultant post, MB ChB or equivalent, and GMC registration. A broad understanding of GMC/Scotland Deanery quality frameworks and NHS education experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be MB ChB or equivalent and included in GMC General and Specialist Registers.
• Experience in medical education and NHS training is required.
• NHS employees may be considered on secondment or SLA basis.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight of national training programmes for the Scotland Deanery.
• Interact with trainees, trainers and external bodies to support postgraduate education.
• Confirm employer support via a Service Level Agreement before interview.
