Job summary

University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Band 4 Anaesthetic Administrator to support the Anaesthetic Department. You will compile and maintain night and weekend rotas, ensuring allocations for medical trainee staff while adapting to last-minute changes and clinical requirements.

You will work closely with Consultants, Trainee Anaesthetists, and Bed Managers and will be part of a team recognised for good staff engagement and development opportunities within

Qualifications

• Excellent administrative and organisational skills.
• Ability to compile and maintain rotas for medical staff.
• Confidence to work with patients and senior clinicians.
• Ability to work independently and manage own workload.

Responsibilities

• Compile and maintain rotas for medical staff across operating lists.
• Redeploy staff in response to changes in clinical complexity and availability.
• Organise and prioritise own workload with minimal supervision.
• Communicate regularly with Clinical Theatre Operations Managers and Surgical Specialities to keep rosters up to date.
