Job summary

East and North Hertfordshire Teaching NHS Trust is recruiting a Registered Practitioner - Anaesthetics. The role welcomes Operating Department Practitioners or Registered Nurses with recognised anaesthetic training to deliver high-quality peri-operative care within a busy theatre environment.

You will rotate across all theatre areas, including QEII site, support anaesthetists, and participate in a full shift rota with evenings, nights, weekends, and on-call commitments to ensure patient safety

Qualifications

• Registered practitioner with anaesthetic training (NMC / HCPC registered as appropriate).
• Willingness to work shift patterns including evenings, nights, weekends and on-call.
• Experience within a busy theatre environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Theatre for surgery and prepare sterile equipment; minimise waste.
• Assist anaesthetist and provide peri-operative support along the pathway.
• Prepare, use, decontaminate and report faulty equipment.
• Rotate across theatre areas as required and support on-call commitments.
