Job summary

Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 6 Sister/Charge Nurse Practice Educator to lead training across Acute Medicine. You will support induction, clinical education and staff development while working within a dynamic AMU environment, including Same Day Emergency Care and Medical Triage. A minimum of 2 years post-registration exp.

in acute medicine is required. Working pattern is 37.5 hours over 4–5 days. Interview date: Friday 27th November 2026.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of post-registration experience in acute medicine.
• Experience in induction and ongoing education of nursing staff.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement training and development of nursing and support staff.
• Provide clinical supervision and act as clinical expert in AMU.
• Support induction and continuing professional development of nursing staff.
• Plan and deliver training programmes to develop new skills and competencies.
• Assist staff progression to clinical expert roles and support evidence-based practice.
• Occasionally work clinical nursing shifts on AMU.
