Job summary

Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 3 Health Care Assistant for the Acute Medical Unit (AMU). You will work with nurses and doctors to deliver compassionate care, perform observations, venepuncture and cannulation under supervision, and help maintain safe patient flow in a busy AMU.

Qualifications

• Band 3 Health Care Assistant role in AMU
• Clinical support to nursing and medical teams
• Willingness to learn extended clinical skills

Responsibilities

• Carry out clinical observations (including ECGs and urine testing).
• Assist with patient transfers and, with training, perform venepuncture and cannulation.
• Provide reassurance to patients and families and raise concerns about wellbeing.
• Support safe patient flow in a busy AMU environment.
