Job summary

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 6 Clinical Educator to join the Emergency Department education team. In collaboration with Lecturer Practitioners, you will coordinate, plan and deliver in-house programmes to develop clinical staff in assessment and care planning.

You will lead safe learning environments, supervise staff development, and drive onboarding and mentorship initiatives across the ED.

Qualifications

• Experience or working within emergency medicine.
• Current UK professional registration is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead a safe learning environment that promotes continuous learning and development.
• Develop, deliver, and evaluate educational programmes for ED nursing staff and assistants.
• Supervise and assess clinical skills of the nursing team in collaboration with education leads.
• Coordinate onboarding and preceptorship for learners and new staff.
• Plan and monitor student and staff placements with clinical managers and education leads.
• Provide expert pastoral support to learners with complex needs.
• Identify local training needs and contribute to education programme development.
• Maintain records of proficiency and generate training reports as required.
