Job summary

Magna International Limited in Telford (UK) seeks a Maintenance Engineer to champion AMR maintenance and ensure optimum plant performance. You will work under the Maintenance Team Leader and collaborate across teams to minimize unplanned downtime and support continuous improvement initiatives.

The role requires a time-served apprenticeship in mechanical/electrical engineering, plus NVQ/C&G Level 3; multi-skill willingness and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Time served apprenticeship in mechanical and electrical engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum C & G craft qualification / NVQ level 3 qualification in related discipline or equivalent.
• Willingness to multi-skill.
• Experience in fault finding from electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and/or hydraulic schematics.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• To be able to communicate technical issues to non-technical staff.
• 5S experience.
• Educated to HNC/HND in related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Maintain AMRs and plant equipment to ensure high availability and reliability.
• Investigate root causes of breakdowns and report improvements.
• Apply continuous improvement methodologies to prevent recurrence.
• Support PM schedules and recommend improvements.
• Assist internal customers with technical issues, including non-breakdown support.
• Adhere to health, safety and environmental procedures and promote HSE across the plant.
• Apply 5S in the work area and across the factory.
• Assist management with ad-hoc projects as required.
• Travel overseas occasionally as part of project needs.
