Job summary

Executive Network Group in the United Kingdom seeks a Maintenance Engineer - AMR Champion to join a busy automotive manufacturing site in Telford. You will ensure AMR and plant equipment availability, carry out root cause analysis of breakdowns, and support PM schedules to minimise downtime.

You will work with the Maintenance Team, following health, safety and environmental procedures, applying 5S, and travelling occasionally to support wider business requirements.

Qualifications

• Time-served apprenticeship in mechanical and electrical engineering.
• City & Guilds craft qualification / NVQ Level 3.
• Fault-finding from electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and/or hydraulic schematics.
• Willingness to develop a multi-skilled maintenance skillset.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Clear communication of technical issues to non-technical colleagues.
• Experience of 5S in workplace.
• Valid UK driving licence.
• Eligibility to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Ensure AMR and equipment availability meets departmental targets.
• Carry out root cause analysis on breakdowns and provide reports with improvements.
• Identify and implement improvements to prevent recurring issues.
• Support PM schedules and recommend improvements.
• Provide technical support to internal customers including non-breakdown issues.
• Ensure health, safety and environmental procedures are followed.
• Maintain and improve equipment to support product quality.
• Attend relevant training and work in accordance with company standards.
• Apply 5S within maintenance area and wider factory.
• Work towards departmental and company objectives.
• Support management with ad-hoc projects as required.
• Promote and adhere to health, safety and environmental policies.
