Job summary

DXC Technology Inc. is seeking an experienced System Administrator to support the AMPA programme in a UK-based office. The role provides computing facilities to the delivery team and ensures availability to meet project needs.

You will work with the Systems Team Lead to maintain the Project Support Environment, deliver patching, backups, licensing support and on-call duties as required, with occasional weekend work.

Qualifications

• Must be cleared to SC.
• Conversant with Active Directory and Microsoft Server suites; familiar with RHEL.
• Experience with WSUS updates and patch management.
• VMware and VEEAM backups experience.
• SQL databases administration experience.
• Networking knowledge: TCP/IP & static addressing.
• Familiar with Aruba Procurve switches and patching.
• PowerShell scripting ability.
• Experience with endpoint security (Windows Defender/Trellix).
• Ability to manage and support licensing for software assets.

Responsibilities

• Provide access to the Project Support Environment for AMPA.
• Provide internal system help desk support to AMPA staff.
• Maintain and schedule administration tasks for the facilities.
• Monitor environment performance and report on it.
• Back up data and ensure restoration in case of loss.
• Carry out equipment moves and Starter/Leaver processes as needed.
• Support patching and licensing activities; weekend work may be required.
• Occasional on-call duties as required.
