Job summary

DXC Technology in the UK, supporting the AMPA programme, seeks a System Administrator (Office-based) to deliver and maintain the Project Support Environment for the AMPA team. You will work under the Systems Team Lead to ensure availability, performance and compliance with the AMPA QMS.

The role requires SC clearance, UK national status, and hands-on experience with Active Directory, Windows Server, RHEL, VMware, VEEAM, and SQL; you will patch regularly, back up data, and provide help desk

Qualifications

• Must be cleared to SC level.
• Experience with Active Directory.
• Experience with Windows Server suites and RHEL.
• WSUS for software updates.
• VMware and VEEAM backups.
• SQL databases.
• TCP/IP networking including switches and patching.

Responsibilities

• Provide access to the Project Support Environment for AMPA.
• Provide internal system help desk support to AMPA staff.
• Produce and maintain a schedule of administration work.
• Undertake System Administration tasks per AMPA processes and QMS.
• Monitor environment performance and maintain availability.
• Ensure data backups and restore capabilities.
• Liaise with STL/SDM for execution of activities within time, cost and quality.
