Connect Legal Partners is seeking a proactive risk and compliance assistant to join our firm’s governance team in Birmingham. You will help keep the firm compliant by processing client and matter inception checks, performing AML verification and screening searches, and analysing potential conflicts of interest.

You will also answer questions from fee earners and colleagues and provide general admin support, including training.

Qualifications

• Some knowledge of AML and conflicts checks, ideally from a law firm or regulated business.
• Good research skills and attention to detail.
• Clear communication and a helpful approach.

A large national law firm with several UK offices and an international practice, acting for businesses, public bodies, investors and private clients.

The role

You will join the risk and compliance team and help keep the firm compliant. You will process client and matter inception checks, carry out AML verification and screening searches, analyse potential conflicts of interest, answer questions from fee earners and colleagues, and give general admin support, including help with training.
