Job summary

Trowers & Hamlins LLP in Manchester is seeking an AML & Conflicts Assistant on a 6-month fixed term contract within the Business Intake Team. The role focuses on risk and compliance, supporting client onboarding and ensuring AML and conflicts checks are completed accurately.

You will assist with AML checks and due diligence, conduct research using screening tools, verify information, and respond to queries throughout onboarding.

Qualifications

• Graduate or someone with previous compliance experience.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively.
• Well organised with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Confident using Microsoft Office and learning new systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist with AML checks and client due diligence reviews.
• Conduct client and matter research using screening tools and databases.
• Verify information submitted by fee earners and support staff.
• Respond to enquiries and provide guidance throughout the onboarding process.
• Carry out conflicts searches and identify potential issues.
• Support the wider Risk & Compliance Team with administrative and compliance-related tasks.
