Trowers & Hamlins LLP is seeking an AML & Conflicts Assistant on a 6 month fixed term contract in Birmingham. This role supports client onboarding and compliance with AML and conflicts checks, assisting with due diligence reviews and research.

The candidate will work within the Business Intake Team, combining accuracy with strong communication. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to learn new systems are essential as you support the risk and compliance function in a leading

Qualifications

Graduate or someone with compliance experience.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Able to work independently and collaboratively.
Well organised with the ability to manage competing priorities.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Assist with AML checks and client due diligence reviews.
Conduct client and matter research using screening tools and databases.
Verify information submitted by fee earners and support staff.
Respond to enquiries and provide guidance throughout the onboarding process.
Carry out conflicts searches and identify potential issues.
Support the wider Risk & Compliance Team with administrative and compliance-related tasks.
