Job summary

EMED Group is seeking an Ambulance Care Assistant (Renal) to transport renal patients to appointments and between healthcare facilities from our Guildford base. The role is full-time with a challenging rota of 6 days on, 6 days off and shifts from 05:30 to 01:00, requiring flexibility.

You will be an effective communicator, physically capable of patient handling, and able to work across emotional situations while maintaining compassionate care and patient dignity.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid UK manual driving licence.
• Be able to work flexible shifts (rota pattern).
• Effective communicator with patients and families.
• Be physically fit for patient handling and lifting.
• Pass an Enhanced DBS check (funded by the company).

Responsibilities

• Transport renal patients to and from medical appointments and between facilities.
• Assist with handing over patients to staff on arrival at treatment centres or homes.
• Support end-of-life transport with empathy.
• Build rapport with patients and relatives to ease communication.
