Job summary

EMED Group is seeking an Ambulance Care Assistant for a full-time position in Redditch. You will transport elderly and vulnerable service users to and from medical appointments and between healthcare facilities, sometimes in two-person teams, requiring a full UK driving licence and good physical fitness.

The role operates on a 4 on, 4 off rota with 11.5-hour day shifts. You will handle patient transfers, build rapport with patients and families, and help maintain a safe, clean ambulance

Qualifications

• Commitment to patient care in often emotional circumstances.
• Effective communication with patients, relatives and staff.
• Ability to drive safely with up to six penalty points on license.

Responsibilities

• Transport elderly, sick and vulnerable service users to appointments and between facilities.
• Assist with handing over patients to hospital staff or family.
• Help transfer patients from beds to stretchers or chairs and maintain ambulance safety and cleanliness.
