Job summary

Ribbons & Reeves in Lewisham is seeking an experienced senior leader to take on the role of Assistant Principal – Sixth Form. You will shape academic progress, pastoral provision and wider sixth-form development for Years 12 and 13, with a clear temp-to-perm pathway.

The post involves strategic leadership, data-driven improvement, UCAS coordination and working with the Principal and SLT to secure high-quality teaching and strong destinations for students.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience leading within secondary and sixth-form settings.
• Proven ability to drive improvements in progression, attendance and outcomes.
• Ability to collaborate with SLT and link with Principal.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership across Years 12 and 13.
• Lead on sixth-form attendance, behaviour and student engagement.
• Oversee UCAS applications, careers advice and destinations.
• Support Heads of Department and teachers to maintain high standards.
• Contribute to whole-school improvement planning as part of SLT.
