Job summary

TeacherActive are seeking an ALN Teaching Assistant for a primary school in Caerphilly, starting in September. The role is a temporary, long‑term position with the potential to become permanent, and requires you to work 1 on 1 with pupils who have Special Educational Needs.

Manual Handling experience is essential. As a member of the TeacherActive supply team you’ll be paid PAYE at £92 per day, with a competitive rate across roles.

Qualifications

• Experience working with ALN and pupils with special educational needs.
• Ability to adapt and think quickly in a classroom setting.
• Proven ability to work 1 on 1 with students and support teachers.

Responsibilities

• Work 1 on 1 with ALN pupils to support learning.
• Assist the class teacher with preparation and classroom management.
• Follow instructions and maintain a positive, hardworking attitude.
