Job summary

Academics is recruiting ALN Teaching Assistants for primary schools in Bridgend and surrounding areas. You will support pupils with ALN in 1:1 and small-group settings, help them access the curriculum and work alongside teachers to deliver targeted interventions.

The role involves promoting confidence, independence and communication, while supporting positive behaviour and emotional regulation. Various full-time and part-time opportunities are available with flexible placements.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a primary school setting.
• Ability to support ALN pupils and adapt activities to needs.
• Confident in teamwork and building relationships with pupils.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with ALN.
• Help pupils access the curriculum and classroom activities.
• Work with the class teacher and support team to deliver interventions.
• Promote pupil confidence, independence and communication skills.
• Support positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
