Job summary

TeacherActive are recruiting Welsh-speaking ALN Specialist Teaching Assistants to work in schools across the Carmarthen area.

This role requires a fluent Welsh speaker with a Level 2/3 TA qualification and experience supporting pupils with ALN. You will collaborate with teachers and the ALN team to provide tailored in-class support and help pupils achieve their learning goals.

Successful candidates will need to be adaptable, patient, and confident supporting pupils with a variety of needs while working closely with teachers and the wider ALN team.

• Fluent Welsh speaker – essential
• Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
• Experience supporting pupils with ALN - essential
• Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting
• A genuine passion for inclusive education and pupil development
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• A patient, resilient, positive, and proactive attitude
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
