Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking a Welsh-speaking ALN Specialist Teaching Assistant to join schools in the Carmarthen area. This term-time role offers weekly PAYE pay and the opportunity to support pupils with diverse learning needs.

The ideal candidate will be fluent in Welsh, hold a Level 2/3 TA qualification or equivalent, and have ALN experience along with strong communication skills and a patient, proactive attitude.

Qualifications

• Fluent Welsh speaker – essential.
• Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
• Experience supporting pupils with ALN - essential.
• Experience in an educational setting with children or young people.
• A genuine passion for inclusive education and pupil development.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• A patient, resilient, positive and proactive attitude.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
