Job summary

Aspire People are seeking a dedicated ALN Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join an SNRB setting in Monmouth on a full-time, ongoing basis.

This role supports pupils with ALN/SEND, assists with learning and development, and collaborates with teachers to promote positive behaviour. Previous experience in educational or care settings and a safeguarding mindset are valued. A rewarding, specialist environment awaits.

Qualifications

• Experience working with ALN/SEND is highly desirable.
• Experience supporting children or young people in educational or care settings.
• Patient, calm and nurturing approach.
• Experience providing 1:1 or small-group support.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils with ALN/SEND throughout the school day.
• Providing individual and small-group support with learning and development.
• Supporting communication, interaction and emotional regulation.
• Encouraging independence, confidence and positive behaviour.
• Assisting with classroom activities and personalised learning.
• Working closely with teachers and the wider specialist support team.
