Job summary

Aspire People are looking for a dedicated ALN Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join an SNRB setting in Monmouth on a full-time, ongoing basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience supporting children and young people with Additional Learning Needs (ALN), Special Educational Needs (SEN) or complex needs, who is looking for a rewarding role within a specialist educational environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with ALN/SEND is highly desirable.
• Experience supporting children or young people in educational or care settings.
• Patient, calm and nurturing approach.
• Experience providing 1:1 or small-group support.
• Understanding of safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with ALN/SEND throughout the school day.
• Provide individual and small-group support with learning and development.
• Support communication, interaction and emotional regulation.
• Encourage independence, confidence and positive behaviour.
• Assist with classroom activities and personalised learning.
• Work closely with teachers and the wider specialist support team.
