Job summary

Aspire People is seeking an ALN Learning Support Assistant in Monmouth to provide 1:1 support to a Reception-age child within a school setting. The role is ongoing Monday to Friday mornings, focusing on patient, nurturing support for learners with ALN needs.

You'll work closely with the class teacher and school team to encourage engagement, independence and confidence while safeguarding pupils and maintaining a consistent approach.

Qualifications

• ALN/SEND experience desirable.
• Experience with Early Years or Reception-age children.
• Patient, nurturing and understanding approach.

ALN Learning Support Assistant

This is an ongoing morning position, Monday to Friday, ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with young children and can provide patient, consistent and nurturing support.

The Role

Aspire People are looking for a dedicated ALN Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to provide 1:1 support to a Reception-age child in a school in Monmouth.

The Role Includes

• Providing 1:1 support to a Reception-age child
• Supporting the child's additional learning needs (ALN)
• Helping the child engage with classroom learning and activities
• Supporting communication, interaction and confidence
• Encouraging independence and positive development
• Working closely with the class teacher and wider school team

We're Looking For

• Previous experience supporting ALN/SEND is desirable
• Experience working with Early Years or Reception-age children
• Patient, nurturing and understanding approach
• Experience providing 1:1 support is desirable
• Strong commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
• Reliable and consistent, with a positive attitude
