Job summary

Aspire People Limited is seeking a dedicated ALN Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join an SNRB setting in Monmouth on a full-time, ongoing basis. You will support pupils with ALN/SEND throughout the school day, and work closely with teachers and the wider support team.

Ideal candidates have experience supporting children or young people with ALN/SEN or complex needs, a patient and nurturing approach, and a commitment to safeguarding pupil wellbeing in a specialist educational environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with ALN/SEND is highly desirable
• Experience supporting children or young people in an educational or care setting
• Patient, calm and nurturing approach
• Experience providing 1:1 or small-group support
• Understanding of different learning, communication and behavioural needs
• Strong commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils with ALN/SEND throughout the school day
• Providing individual and small-group support with learning and development
• Supporting communication, interaction and emotional regulation
• Encouraging independence, confidence and positive behaviour
• Assisting with classroom activities and personalised learning
• Working closely with teachers and the wider specialist support team
