Job summary

Aspire People are seeking an ALN Learning Support Assistant to join an SNRB setting in Monmouth on a full-time, ongoing basis. You will support pupils with ALN/SEND throughout the school day, delivering 1:1 and small-group learning and helping with communication and positive behaviour.

Ideal candidates will have experience supporting children with diverse learning needs, a patient and nurturing approach, and a strong commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing. DBS checks apply.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting ALN/SEND is highly desirable.
• Experience supporting children or young people in educational or care settings.
• Patient, calm and nurturing approach.
• Experience providing 1:1 or small-group support.
• Understanding of diverse learning, communication and behavioural needs.
• Strong commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils with ALN/SEND throughout the school day.
• Providing individual and small-group support with learning and development.
• Supporting communication, interaction and emotional regulation.
• Encouraging independence, confidence and positive behaviour.
• Assisting with classroom activities and personalised learning.
• Working closely with teachers and the wider specialist support team.
