Job summary

Igloo Ltd in Rugby is seeking an experienced CNC Alloy Wheel Technician to join our busy automotive preparation centre. You will operate CNC diamond cut machinery, refurbish wheels from prep to finish, and maintain high-quality finishes across a range of makes.

This role offers ongoing contracting work with weekly payments, a modern workshop environment, onsite canteen and parking, and payroll support from Igloo's recruitment team.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC diamond cut machinery on alloy wheels.
• Ability to refurbish wheels from prep to finish.
• Experience with a range of vehicle makes.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC diamond cut machinery to refurbish alloy wheels.
• Carry out full refurbishment including preparation, painting and finishing.
• Refurbish wheels from various vehicle makes and models.
• Inspect finished wheels to ensure quality standards.
• Identify and resolve technical issues with machinery and wheel repairs.
• Maintain CNC machinery and equipment according to procedures.
• Work independently to meet productivity and quality targets.
• Keep the workshop clean, safe and organized.

Job description

We are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Alloy Wheel Technician to join a busy automotive preparation centre in Rugby. This is an excellent opportunity to secure ongoing contracting work with one of the UK's leading automotive businesses, refurbishing alloy wheels for a wide range of vehicle makes and models.

We are looking for a reliable and self-motivated individual with experience operating CNC diamond cut machinery and carrying out complete alloy wheel refurbishment to a high standard.

The Role:

As a CNC Alloy Wheel Technician, your responsibilities will include:

• Operating CNC diamond cut machinery to refurbish alloy wheels.
• Carrying out full alloy wheel refurbishment, including preparation, painting, and finishing.
• Refurbishing alloy wheels from all makes and models of vehicles.
• Inspecting completed wheels to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Identifying and resolving technical issues with machinery and wheel repairs.
• Maintaining CNC machinery and equipment in line with operational procedures.
• Working independently to achieve productivity and quality targets.
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment.

The Person:

• Previous experience operating CNC diamond cut alloy wheel machinery is essential.
• Able to carry out complete alloy wheel refurbishment, including paint preparation and refinishing.
• Experience working on alloy wheels from a variety of vehicle manufacturers.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and capable of working independently.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to work.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality finishes.
• Good organisational and time management skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 points for minor offences.
