Solihull Community Housing is seeking an experienced Allocations & Lettings Team Leader to oversee the day-to-day operation of the allocations and lettings function within the Housing team. You will lead, coach and support officers, ensuring fairness, efficiency and adherence to policy and legislation.

You will monitor performance, manage complex cases and work with partners to let homes quickly while maintaining a strong focus on customer service and continuous service improvement.

• Experience of supervising or leading a team in housing allocations/lettings.

About the role

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Allocations & Lettings Team Leader to join our Housing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys leading people, improving services and delivering great outcomes for customers. You will oversee the day-to-day management of the Allocations and Lettings team, ensuring homes are allocated fairly, efficiently and in line with policy and legislation.

What you will be doing

• Leading, coaching and supporting a team of allocations and lettings officers.
• Monitoring performance and helping the team achieve targets.
• Overseeing allocation and lettings processes from application through to tenancy sign-up.
• Working with partners and colleagues to ensure homes are let quickly and effectively.
• Managing complex cases and responding to customer enquiries.
• Identifying opportunities to improve services and customer experience.

What we are looking for

• Experience of working within housing allocations, lettings or a similar housing service.
• Previous experience of supervising or leading a team.
• Good knowledge of housing legislation, policy and best practice.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.A customer-focused approach and a passion for delivering high-quality services.
• The ability to manage competing priorities and work confidently under pressure.
