Job summary

First Group in London region is seeking three Allocation Supervisors to ensure efficient resource allocation for optimal service. You will coordinate with drivers and managers to schedule rosters, cover shifts, and address lateness or absences, while handling payroll-related tasks and data entry.

The role requires strong communication, the ability to work under pressure, and proficiency with Outlook, Word and Excel. A focus on safety and accurate rota management is essential.

Responsibilities

• Determining staff availability.
• Allocating staff to cover spare duties, overtime and rest days within the garage.
• Allocate GDT's to new starters for route & type training.
• Dealing with drivers who are late or absent, including recording lateness and absence.
• Introduction of new rotas and schedules and communicating this to staff.
• Dealing with staff queries on payroll, rotas & schedules, holiday requests.
• Ensuring compliance with health & safety procedures, reporting accidents and defective equipment.
• Enter data into allocations systems and undertake payroll related tasks.

Job description

An opportunity has arisen for three Allocation Supervisor's to be based at Wandsworth Garage. The purpose of this role is to ensure the efficient allocation of resources is met so we can deliver an optimum service with minimum lost mileage and maximum income.

Allocation Supervisors work closely with driving staff within their garage to ensure that allocation of resources are met. They also have a specific duty to work closely as a team and liaise with Managers & Service Controllers to ensure optimum service delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Determining staff availability
• Allocating staff to cover spare duties, overtime and allocation of rest days operating within the garage
• Allocate GDT's to new starters for route & type training
• Dealing with drivers who are late or absent, including those calling in sick and recording in the system and recording lateness and absence
• Responsibility for introduction of new rotas and schedules and communicating this to all staff via notices and in person
• Dealing with staff queries on a range of subjects including payroll, rotas & schedules, holiday requests
• Ensuring an understanding of and compliance with the Company procedures for health & safety, specifically reporting accidents and defective equipment
• You will enter data into the allocations systems and undertake payroll related tasks
